When we talk about essential oils and relaxing in the tub, it’s important to remember one thing: oil and water do not mix. So, what do you do? Instead of adding essential oil directly to your bath water, first add 5-20 drops of oil into something that is water soluble, like unscented liquid bath soap, then add to your bath. Hydrosols are a great alternative to essential oils. They have the same therapeutic properties, just in smaller amounts. Because they are so diluted you can add them straight to your bathwater. For a relaxing bath try these hydrosols: chamomile, rose, or lavender.
