French Green Clay
One of the most common clays, French Green *Clay, gets its green color from oxides in the sedimentation of silico-aluminum. This unique composition also includes aluminum, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium and titanium.
*Clays have been used in skin care routines for hundreds of years. Full of nutrients and minerals, clays are great for cleansing facial masks and make an excellent addition to your bath to ease muscle aches and pains as well as detoxifying and soothing your skin. Clays can be added to facial cleansers or used alone as cleansing/purifying mask. Clays are usually referred to by their color. Because of their unique color, clays are sometimes used in soap making.
French Green Clay helps absorb and remove impurities from the skin. Use it as a used as a facial mask or as part of a therapeutic bath soak. Good for all skin types, French Green Clay, is recommended for normal to oily skin.
Suggested Use:
DIY Facial Mask:
Mix 1 tsp of French Green Clay with 1-2 tsp of water, hydrosol, aloe vera liquid, or apple cider vinegar in a glass or plastic container. Mix into a thick paste and apply to face and neck. Wait 8-10 minutes, or when is almost dry, then rinse off with warm water. NOTE: Do not let mask dry onto skin.
DIY Therapeutic Bath Soak:
Combine 1 oz. French Green Clay, 2 oz. Dead Sea Salt, 2 oz. Epsom Salt, 1 oz. and Pink Himalayan Salt into a small bowl. Set aside
Mix 1 oz. of Castile Soap, with 20-30 drops of your favorite essential oil or essential oil blend.
Add to clay and salt mixture and swish into warm bath water.
Or just add clay to bath water for a wonderful detoxifying, soothing bath.
